The 91ÌÒÉ« has hosted thousands of events across campus, ranging from small meetings and large receptions to concerts and 5K races. We have beautiful spaces suitable to accommodate a whole variety of events. Below are just a few of our most popular venues.


Chief Calvin McGhee Grand Ballroom

The MacQueen Alumni Center is located in the heart of the 91ÌÒɫ’s campus. Across from Moulton Tower and Alumni Plaza, this beautiful 15,000 square foot facility offers state-of-the-art reception and meeting spaces, including the Chief Calvin McGhee Grand Ballroom, the 91ÌÒÉ« Foundation Grand Lobby and the Geri and Gordon Moulton Board Room

MacQueen Alumni Center
 

The MacQueen Alumni Center is located in the heart of the 91ÌÒɫ’s campus. The Chief Calvin McGhee Grand Ballrooms offers multiple setups including banquet and theater. The MacQueen Alumni Center also come equipped with a multitude of Audio/Visual equipment that can be requested for an additional fee. 

Moulton Tower

Located between Alumni Hall and the Mitchell Center, Moulton Tower and Alumni Plaza stands as a symbol of unity for the University community, a campus landmark and a gathering place. The Moulton Tower is home to the Alumni Wall of Honor, where an unveiling event is held each year.

The Chi-Omega amphitheater seats up to 250 guests. There is also seating for up to 700 guests in an open, multipurpose activity space under the Tower. 

Laidlaw Performing Arts Center

The home of the 91ÌÒÉ« Department of Music is the 52,136 square foot John W. Laidlaw Performing Arts Center. The music wing houses a 240-seat recital hall with superb acoustics, a beautiful and welcoming lobby located at the main entrance to the building, a magnificent Green Room, twelve sumptuous faculty studios, a state-of-the-art MIDI Lab, a fully digital recording/production lab, three music classrooms, a large rehearsal hall, twelve Wenger practice rooms, and a sound-isolated percussion studio.

The North Entry of the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center (the main entry lobby) features dramatic marble flooring and elegant Honduran mahogany woodwork installed by the 91ÌÒÉ« Cabinetry Shop, as well as access to both the Recital Hall and the Dramatic Arts Main Stage Theatre.

The Student Center is the center of activity on the 91ÌÒÉ« campus. It is home to the Food Court, the 91ÌÒÉ« Bookstore, and the 91ÌÒÉ« Mail Hub.

The Student Center Ballroom is host to the Part-Time Job Fair, Get on Board Day and the Physician’s Assistant White Coat Ceremony each year. The Ballroom can be arranged for a variety of events: Theater Set seats 500; Banquet Rounds of 8 seats 325; and Classroom set seats 200.  The ballroom also come equipped with two projectors and in house sound. 

John Counts Room at the Mitchell Center

The John Counts Room is known for its private setting and elegant interior. This fully carpeted room has its own entrance as well as its own restroom. Decorated with chandeliers for intimate lighting, this is the number one location for a private event..

Seminars, receptions, banquets, expositions, dinners and fashion shows have been accommodated in this space. The possibilities are endless! The room dimensions are 82' x 44' and can be separated into two rooms to accommodate smaller functions. 


Faculty Club

The Faculty Club is designed to provide space for faculty, staff, administrators, and their guests to interact outside the normal campus environment and to hold events as appropriate. The Faculty Club can be your next space for a meeting, reception, or banquet!

The Faculty Club is home to many events, including the Board of Trustees dinners. The Multi-Purpose room can be arranged a few different ways: Hollow Square seats 40; U-Shape seats 40; Fixed Furniture seats 72.

The Student Center Terrace is host to many events. It has fixed rectangular tables of 6 and can seat up to 96 guests.
