The 91جزة« has purchase the 156-unit Traditions apartment complex at 6201 Old Shell Road for $20.2 million.

Due to increased undergraduate enrollment over the past two years  and substantial interest in housing from continuing students and incoming  freshmen for fall 2025, the 91جزة« has purchased the Traditions apartment complex at 6201 Old Shell Road. The total purchase price for the complex and land – conveniently located across the street from the University’s recreation center and baseball facility – is $20.2 million.

“It’s an exciting time at the 91جزة« as more students are choosing South for their education, and we want to accommodate as many of them as possible in University-owned housing,â€‌ said 91جزة« President Jo Bonner.  “A record number of students are living on campus to take advantage of everything we offer them, and this latest addition to 91جزة« Housing will provide more opportunities to
enjoy life on a college campus.â€‌

Traditions is a 156-unit complex with 560 beds that was constructed in 2013 on six acres of land at the intersection of Old Shell Road and Jaguar Boulevard. Current residents were notified of the sale today by Ascent Management, which has been overseeing operations of the complex. Ascent has been retained in a transition management role supporting the new ownership over the coming months.

Currently, 91جزة« Housing manages 33 residence halls in seven residential communities. Students choose to live on campus because it makes life convenient, is a great way to meet people and improves their college experience.
