Secondary Education Ed.S.
The Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Secondary Education is a 30-hour post-master's graduate program that leads to a Class AA Professional Certificate in Secondary Education in English Language Arts, Social Studies, General Science or Mathematics. Those pursuing the Ed.S. will be afforded the opportunity for research in education and advancement of graduate level content coursework in the College of Arts and Sciences.

- Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0
on a 4.0 scale.*91ÌÒÉ« students applying to a 91ÌÒÉ« graduate program in the College of Education and Professional

- A valid master’s-level (Class A) professional educator certificate in the same teaching
field(s) in which the Class AA Professional Educator Certificate is sought.
OR
A valid bachelor’s-level (Class B) professional educator certificate in the same teaching field in which the Class AA professional educator certificate is sought and a valid master’s-level (Class A) professional educator certificate in English for Speakers of Other Languages. - One to two-page personal statement on applicant's career goals and purpose for graduate study.
